Performance Without Pretending Natural Fibres Can Do Everything

We believe in using the right fabric for the right purpose.

Technical fibres such as nylon and elastane provide properties including significant stretch, compression, support and shape recovery that natural fibres can't always replicate at the same performance level.

Rather than pretending otherwise, Edge takes a more considered approach to technical activewear.

We retain the performance properties we need while choosing an OEKO-TEX® certified fabric.

Edge is part of a broader fabric journey at KEAN.

Our upcoming Core Collection uses 95% GOTS-certified organic cotton with 5% spandex for low-to-moderate intensity movement, while KEAN Recovery uses 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton when technical stretch isn't required.

What is low-tox activewear?
Low-tox activewear isn't a regulated textile certification. At KEAN, we use the term to describe our approach to making more considered fabric choices, seeking recognised textile certifications, improving transparency and reducing our reliance on synthetic fibres where garment performance allows.

Is the KEAN Edge Collection OEKO-TEX® certified?
The performance fabric used in our Edge Collection is OEKO-TEX® certified and tested according to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 requirements against a wide range of substances that may be harmful to human health.

Is all KEAN activewear OEKO-TEX® certified?
No. OEKO-TEX® certification applies to the fabric used in our Edge Collection and does not currently apply to every KEAN activewear product. Applicable certifications are identified on individual product pages.

Is OEKO-TEX® activewear organic?
Not necessarily. OEKO-TEX® certification does not mean a textile is organic. Edge uses technical fibres because of the stretch, support and performance required from the collection.
